MAYA LOVE (with special guest Joanne Broh) and LOVE TRUFFLE will pay tribute to the music of GEORGE HARRISON on Saturday, February 25 (his birthday) at 7pm. The performance will be a benefit for The Egan Warming Center and take place at Sam Bonds Brewing at The Foundry, 540 E. 8th Ave. in Eugene. There is no cover but a donation of $10-20 is suggested.
MAYA LOVE includes Rob Tobias (keyboard, vocals, harmonica),
Jeremy Wegner (acoustic guitar, vocals), Larry Lynch (electric guitar, vocals), Tim Miller (bass guitar, vocals), and Sean Brennan (drums). Blues singer, Joanne Broh will sit in with Maya Love. The band was formed in 2005 to pay tribute to George Harrison (who passed in 2001) and his music with The Beatles, his solo career, and his collaborations with the Traveling Wilbury’s and others.
Love Truffle includes Paul Safar (keys, vocals), Nancy Wood (vocals), Mike Hatgis (bass, vocals) and Sean Brennan (drums). They will play a jazzy re-imagining of Harrison classics.
