Unless you are dedicated to the packaging industry, it is very possible that you do not know that there are three dimensions that make up the packaging of a product. This is composed of three levels that affect the way goods are packed and shipped. These are primary packaging, secondary packaging and tertiary packaging. Each type has a different function and they play their role in the packaging and shipping process.

Primary packaging

The primary packaging (also called retail or consumer packaging) is the one that is in direct contact with the product and the one that protects it the most from external agents.

The primary packaging varies according to the industry of the product in question. For example, in the pharmaceutical industry, the primary one is blisters containing a certain drug. In the beverage industry, it would be the bottle or can in which the beverage is stored. In the food, the plastic bag and the cardboard box that preserves your favorite cereals. In addition, the label of the bottles or cans is also part of the packaging.

Secondary packaging

This type of packaging is used to facilitate the transport or handling of smaller products in warehouses to group them into a single package. Provides extra protection to maintain and protect the integrity of the primary packaging. Normally, it is formed by different parts and components that guarantee the protection of the product: the box, the filling, separators, bubble wrap, paper…

The secondary packaging is also the box or envelope that we receive when we receive a shipment purchased online in an ecommerce and serves so that the product arrives in perfect condition at our home.

Tertiary packaging

Tertiary packaging, or transit, is the one used to group large quantities of goods to transport them from point A to point B. For example, from the warehouse to the point of sale. At this stage of logistics, the product is not treated as a unit as in the case of e-commerce shipments, but rather handled as distribution units.

The tertiary packaging facilitates such handling and the transport of large-volume goods and large and/or heavy loads in a safe manner. In addition to helping to prevent damage due to its high resistance, it facilitates the handling, storage and transportation of goods. An example of tertiary packaging is a sheathed pallet that allows the unitary transport of several cardboard boxes (secondary packaging) to make the shipment efficiently.

At Capsa, we have boxes for international shipments for companies from all types of industrial sectors, such as: beverage, food, automotive, industrial products, health and beauty, agri-food, pharmaceutical, and for all types of products, both light and heavy. Our offer of shipping boxes have been developed to meet a single objective: to grant the maximum protection to the contents. For this reason, our selection of international shipping boxes products is suitable for grouping products and to boost the performance of your logistics chain.

On our website, you will find container boxes with flaps and easy to assemble and the box palé with lids immobilize and protect the contents, optimize space, are easy to handle, stackable and stable, becoming the perfect packaging to accompany your product in long-distance imports or exports. With our boxes, your products will arrive at their final destination in perfect condition.

Why is every packaging important?

When creating a packaging strategy, it is important to keep in mind that the three levels of packaging will affect the preservation, the survival of the product and the footprint that the packaging leaves on your customers.

The primary packaging is the first thing that the consumer sees in certain contexts, such as on supermarket shelves. Therefore, it has an obvious function of branding and persuasion, since it can be decisive in the purchase decision in some cases. All the formal aspects of the packaging’s appearance matter: the logo, the size, the colors… Work on your brand’s packaging if you don’t want to leave your target indifferent; it’s a golden opportunity to bring personality to your product and make it stand out.

The role of secondary packaging is to protect the product during shipping and transportation of this until it reaches its destination. It is as necessary as the primary one for various reasons. On the one hand, choose a secondary packaging that is not resistant to unforeseen transport events, as it can be damaged during shipping (bumps), during storage or even while the customer is taking it home (rain). If the box was not of quality, this may cause the customer to receive his package in poor condition with a damaged product. As a manufacturer or brand, you have the responsibility to ensure that the product is received in perfect condition if you do not want the customer to make a claim for their purchase.

Benefits of choosing your packaging well

Choosing boxes that are easy to assemble and prepare will exponentially speed up your shipments, resulting in a much more efficient daily logistics. For example, at Capsa ® we offer a variety of boxes that optimize your logistics process, such as: quick assembly boxes and easy folding; as self-assembling boxes, which respond to the demands of ecommerce. In addition, they are complemented with a capsa 2in1 ® multifunction closure with special flaps for transporting and specific ones for storing. Likewise, there is the variant with 1 or double band of self-adhesive closure. The latter is perfect to allow a comfortable and safe return for the customer, without having to use a different packaging, so you will reduce excess, contribute to the environment and have a more reliable and comfortable reverse logistics in the eyes of your consumer.

In short, it is essential to find a balance of protection and visual attractions between the levels of packaging so that your products look great and are properly protected.

Preventive anti-poverty programs designed for people living below the “poverty line,” i.e., those who do not have the minimum vital conditions of existence. Such charity programs may include educational, job creation and employment assistance, housing, medical, sanitary, epidemiological, cultural and educational projects, food aid and free meals, cash allowances, temporary shelters, psychological and legal assistance, etc.

Assistance to victims of social conflicts, disasters and natural calamities. It is assumed that as a result of large-scale, local or domestic events, individuals or groups of people find themselves deprived of vital conditions of existence. As a rule, victims of such events experience the full range of possible problems.

Rehabilitation of socially disadvantaged groups – the disabled, the sick, refugees, children, participants in military events, people who worked in dangerous conditions or were persecuted, etc.
By virtue of their characteristics, they objectively find themselves in a more difficult situation than the generally accepted view of people. In this case, charitable activity is aimed at raising their capabilities to the standard of living of the main part of the population.

The world is familiar with record charitable actions. For example, in 2010 in America billionaires signed the obligation to give not less than a half of their fortune to charity. Among these people were Microsoft founder Bill Gates and the founders of Facebook, the world’s largest social network, Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz.

How can an organization obtain NPO status? https://www.eganwarmingcenter.com/how-can-an-organization-obtain-npo-status/ Mon, 15 Aug 2022 12:38:00 +0000 https://www.eganwarmingcenter.com/?p=68 In order for a nonprofit corporation to qualify as a state-recognized and tax-exempt corporation, it must meet the conditions set forth in the internal tax code.

In order for a nonprofit corporation to qualify as a state-recognized and tax-exempt corporation, it must meet the conditions set forth in the internal tax code. In the United States, the IRS determines the validity and tax status of an NPO.

Basic technology considerations for non-profit organizations
These qualifications include the following:

The organization must be established for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes.
The organization cannot be established for the benefit of any individual or private interest.
The organization must have a democratically elected governing body.
The organization must have a statute that defines its purpose and the procedure of its work.
Organizations wishing to obtain tax exemption must confirm these conditions and submit the appropriate documents to the IRS.

What are the common use cases for NPOs?
There are many use cases for nonprofit organizations. Here are some examples:

advocacy organizations campaigning for public safety, social welfare, political change or any other social cause;
charitable organizations that work to alleviate poverty or provide relief during natural disasters
educational institutions such as schools and universities;
environmental groups working to protect the planet and its resources; and
religious organizations dedicated to spreading their faith.
Some of the most well-known types of non-profit organizations include the American Red Cross, Amnesty International, and the United Way.

What are the benefits of NGOs to society?
Nonprofit organizations play an important role in society by working to improve the lives of others and the public good. They are often at the forefront of social change and provide much needed services to those who are most vulnerable.

NGOs provide opportunities for people to pool their resources and skills to achieve common goals. They also offer employees the opportunity to use their talents for good without being driven solely by profit.

NGOs play an important role in democracy by holding powerful institutions and individuals to account. They also help ensure that everyone has a voice in decisions that affect their lives.

In short, nonprofits are an important part of society because these types of organizations work to make the world a better place for everyone.

What challenges do NPOs face?
They often rely on the commitment of employees who believe in their cause because it is difficult for them to compete with private sector salaries in lower and middle management positions.

However, executive salaries are often high enough to compete with equivalent positions in the private sector.

Fundraising and sponsorship can also be a challenge for non-profit organizations, as they often rely on external sources such as donations.

Meticulous accounting, transparency and accountability are essential for continued operations, as mismanagement or misdirection of funds can lead to loss of funding from public and private sources and loss of status.

Charitable organization is a legal entity whose charitable activity in one or more areas is the main purpose of its activity. Charitable activity is voluntary personal and/or property assistance to achieve certain goals, which does not provide for the benefactor’s profit, as well as the payment of any remuneration or compensation to the benefactor.

The spheres of charitable activity are, in particular, education, health care, assistance to victims of disasters, armed conflicts and accidents, as well as to refugees and persons in difficult life circumstances, guardianship and trusteeship, legal assistance, social protection, social security, social services and poverty alleviation, promotion of the country’s defense capability and mobilization readiness, protection of the population in emergency situations, etc.

A charitable organization can be established as

charitable society – at least two founders; acts on the basis of the charter; may have, in addition to the founders, other members who have joined it
charitable institution – the founders transfer assets to achieve the goals of charitable activities; the founder or founders of the charitable institution do not participate in the management of the charitable institution; acts on the basis of the constituent act;
charitable foundation – acts on the basis of the charter, has participants and is managed by participants who are not obliged to transfer any assets to this organization to achieve the goals of charitable activities; can be created by one or more founders.

What is required to register a charitable organization?
In general, the procedure does not differ from the registration of public associations, as we wrote above.

The difference is that the registration is carried out by the registrar of the Center for the provision of administrative services. Also, the list of documents for registration is partially different.

The following documents shall be submitted for state registration of a charitable organization

application for state registration (if necessary, with an indication of inclusion in the Register of non-profit institutions and organizations)
a copy of the decision to establish a charitable organization;
constituent document (charter or constituent act).

Public association is a voluntary association of individuals and/or legal entities for the exercise and protection of rights and freedoms, satisfaction of public, in particular economic, social, cultural, environmental and other interests. For example, human rights, educational, environmental associations, etc.

Public associations can be created in order to achieve the goals and solely in the interests of their members. That is, their activities are local and can solve small-scale problems.

In contrast, there are public associations that have goals useful for the whole society: protection of human rights, education, provision of social services, housing, food, basic necessities.

There are two types of public associations:

public organization;
public union.

The number of founders in both the union and the organization cannot be less than two persons.

The main difference between a public union and a public organization is that only individuals can be founders of a public organization, while a public union can be founded by legal entities.

What do you need to register a public association?
Firstly, it is necessary to have identity documents (passport, identification code, document on the address of residence registration).

Secondly, decide who will be the founder (at least two persons).

Thirdly, choose the name and type of the future public association, address, head and governing bodies, purpose and activities.

The next stage – preparation of documents, can be done independently or with the help of lawyers. The following documents shall be submitted for state registration of a public association

application (if necessary, with an indication of inclusion in the Register of non-profit institutions and organizations)
a copy of the decision of the founders to establish a public association;
the charter;
information about the governing bodies;
information about the person who has the right to represent the public association for registration actions;
register of persons who participated in the meeting.

Next – signing and registration, as a rule, this happens at the notary and registrar of the Department of Justice at the place of residence of the founders.

The final stage is entering the register of non-profit organizations, ordering a seal, opening a bank account, obtaining an electronic digital signature for accounting.

At each stage, a lawyer can provide assistance (preparation of documents, filling out forms, consultations, support in government agencies, etc.)

The question arises – which form to choose – a Charitable Foundation or a Public Organization. After all, these are two completely different forms of social activity of civil society. In addition, they are regulated by different laws.

We can say that the purpose of establishing organizations is the same – humanitarian assistance and meeting humanitarian needs, but the tasks are different. And the mechanisms of work of such organizations are also different.

Some only collect and redistribute aid. Others finance projects that will help, for example, to build safe housing for those who have lost it. They are looking for planners, designers, builders for this purpose.

So, what are the main fundamental differences between Charitable Foundations (CF) and Public Organizations (PO)?

CF – carries out charitable activities (accumulates charitable donations and distributes them in the form of assistance). NGO – protects rights and freedoms, satisfies public, in particular economic, social, cultural, environmental and other interests. That is, the sphere of activity of the CF is targeted assistance to those who need it, NGO – promoting the development of civil society in certain areas, financing projects, educational and other programs in such areas.
A CF can be established by even one person, an NGO – by at least two.
Only NGOs can carry out entrepreneurial activities (without the purpose of making a profit and in order to achieve the goal of the NGO). CF cannot carry out such activities.
NGO can finance construction projects (construction, purchase of goods), order services and works, if these projects are in the field of activity of NGO. The CF can finance only those projects, services and works that have a targeted purpose.
Administrative expenses (salaries, office maintenance) for the CF are limited to 20% of the received revenues, for the CSO they are not limited.
