Organization, Structure and Operation Afternoon Session (If you have time to stay)

New Volunteers from all sites are required to participate in a Volunteer Training Session
Please pass this on to everyone in our community who would like to make a difference!

Thank you for your interest in serving as an Egan Warming Center Volunteer.  Prior to serving in a shelter this winter, you will need to attend one session of our Volunteer Orientation.  Please take a moment to choose from one of the following sessions and RSVP by sending us an email at info@eganwarmingcenter.org.  Please include your name, date of orientation and phone number with your email.  Thank you.
We are asking Returning Volunteers and those who trained but did not serve to attend an orientation to start this winter.  This allows you to connect with the site volunteer scheduler and the leaders and volunteers on your team.  Training for specific teams will include kitchen staff, security, intake, behavioral health and operations.  We are counting on last years volunteers to lead the way and train others to serve.

Volunteer Orientation Outline:
    1. Coalition Mission and Values
    2. Organizational Structure
    3. The Experience of Homelessness
    4. Conflict Resolution & De-Escalation
    5. Roles and Responsibilities
    6. Schedule and Set-Up Needs
    7. Safety and Security
    8. Health and Care Considerations
    9. Communication Plan
    10. Orientation Feedback
    11. Self-Assessment
    12. Volunteer Agreement
If you have not submitted a Volunteer Application, please submit your information by way of our Online Form or you may download a (.pdf) Volunteer Application from our Download Center.  Volunteer Applications can be submitted by web, email, fax or mailed to St. Vincent dePaul c/o Egan Warming Center.
